Becoming a Dragon Slayer
Any physically disabled person can become a Dragon Slayer, provided they meet the requirements of courage and commitment. In return, each student experiences the thrilling freedom and breathtaking sense of power that building a relationship with human and animal brings.
Students receive therapy in a multitude of forms. Increased strength balance and coordination are just a few of the measurable physical benefits. Dignity accomplishment and self-esteem are some of the immeasurable, farther-reaching results.
The horse lends itself as a diverse tool in this therapeutic program. Each one, hand picked and trained by Josef, addresses the specific need of every student. Exceptional in beauty and pedigree, these horses must adapt themselves to our unusual methods and equipment. No horse is accepted as a Dragon Slayer mount until it has proven itself to be totally trustworthy and dependable. Hence, there has never been an accident in our program.
